Opportunity Overview
At Tribe Network, we’re currently seeking an eager social media marketing intern to join our growing team and contribute to our success. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in current social media trends and able to see how we can take full advantage of social media to grow brand awareness, attract the right audience, and encourage engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management
- Managing social media platforms to drive and increase engagement and presence
- Assisting with research on new platforms and trends and finding new avenues to boost client engagement and brand awareness
- Work with our Marketing and Communications Manager to create and implement campaigns including the development of inbound marketing assets (landing pages, emails, forms, etc.)
- Social monitoring and listening of social channels to identify viable ideas, opportunities, engagement, etc.
- Collect data from marketing and social campaigns for monthly and quarterly reports
- Collect relevant information and data for regular newsletters
- Monitor and post on the Tribe blog and social networks
- Develop social media content calendars on a weekly and monthly basis
- Create on-brand artwork and copy for social posts
- Schedule posts across all social networks using best practices
- Support marketing for online and live events
- Assist with technical support for online events and sessions
- Available for evening and weekend programming as needed
Email Marketing
- Preparing and publishing Tribe’s weekly newsletter and one-off newsletters
- Monitoring our marketing inbox; filtering and responding to requests and inquiries from our contacts and the public
Event-Specific Support
- Creating and maintaining Eventbrite pages
- Ongoing ideation and creation of content to support in the promotion of Tribe opportunities and initiatives
- Planning and writing outreach campaigns to support the promotion of Tribe opportunities and initiatives
- Setting up and managing paid media campaigns to amplify events, opportunities and initiatives
- Assisting with technical support for in-person and online events and sessions
- Available for evening and weekend programming as agreed
- Capturing content during events; keeping stories active
- Sharing event recaps via social and the newsletter
Qualifications & Experiences
- Ongoing diploma/degree in Business Administration is preferred but not essential
- Experience creating content for various social media platforms, including video and photo content
- Basic graphic design skills and proficiency in tools such as Canva or Procreate
- Relevant writing experience
- Tech savviness, including familiarity with different social media apps and editing tools, and camera and mic configurations; Zoom hosting and Eventbrite setup are nice-to-haves
Work Term & Pay
- Part-time position (20 hours per week)
- $20/hour
- Start Date: September 16, 2024
Eligibility
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution
- Eligible to work off campus
