Eligibility Requirements:
This role is funded, in part, by the Black Founders Network (BFN) Career Advancement Program supported by the Ministry of Citizenship & Multiculturalism and their Black Youth in Action Plan (BYAP) which works towards eliminating systemic, race-based disparities by increasing opportunities for Black youth across the province. Therefore, to be eligible for this role, applicants must self-identify as Black, be between 18 – 35years old, be based in Ontario, and participate in the Employment Readiness Workshops organized by BFN and their community partners (register here to receive updates on upcoming workshops).
Role and Responsibilities:
This is a part-time role (3 to 5hrs a week) with the opportunity to transition to fulltime based on performance and mutual fit.
Position Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic and driven Campus Ambassadors to represent [Your Edtech Startup Name] on university and college campuses across the country. As a Campus Ambassador, you will play a crucial role in spreading awareness about our platform, engaging with students, and building strong connections within your campus community. You will have the opportunity to inspire and empower your peers to make informed career decisions and gain valuable experience in the process.
Responsibilities:
- Promote Anutio: Act as the face of our brand on campus by organizing and executing marketing campaigns, events, and initiatives to raise awareness about our platform.
- Engage and Educate: Conduct informative sessions, workshops, and presentations to educate fellow students about the benefits of using our platform for career exploration and skill development.
- Networking: Build and maintain relationships with student organizations, faculty, and career services on campus to expand our reach and establish partnerships.
- Recruitment: Identify and recruit potential student users and early career professionals who would benefit from our services.
- Content Creation: Create engaging content, such as blog posts, social media updates, and videos, to share success stories, tips, and resources related to career exploration and development.
- User Research, Feedback and Insights: Collect valuable feedback from users and peers to help improve our platform continuously. Report insights and suggestions to our team.
- Representative Events: Attend relevant career fairs, conferences, and campus events to represent our startup and gather leads.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled as a student at the university or college campus you will represent.
- Passionate about career development, education, and helping others find their career paths.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Active presence on social media platforms.
- Self-motivated, creative, and proactive.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
- Genuine belief in our mission.
