_A Question For_ is seeking a talented Video Editor to join our creative team. This is a unique opportunity, funded in part by the Black Founders Network (BFN) Career Advancement Program supported by the Ministry of Citizenship & Multiculturalism and their Black Youth in Action Plan (BYAP). This program is designed to eliminate systemic, race-based disparities by increasing opportunities for Black youth across Ontario. To be eligible for this role, applicants must self-identify as Black, be between 18 – 35 years old, be based in Ontario, and participate in the Employment Readiness Workshops organized by BFN and their community partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit and assemble raw footage into a visually compelling and emotionally engaging final product.
• Collaborate closely with our creative team to understand project objectives and deliver content that aligns with our vision.
• Ensure all editing work is completed on time and within budget.
• Incorporate feedback and revisions to refine the final product.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging editing techniques to enhance the quality of our content.

Qualifications:

• Self-identification as Black, aged 18 – 35 years old, and based in Ontario.
• Strong proficiency in video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar.
• A keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling through visual media.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Prior experience in video editing is preferred but not mandatory.
